Home Affordable Mortgage HARP
President Obama Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP)

HARP Program Eligibility

In order for a homeowner to be qualified for this program, they should contact a Riverbank Finance employee to help get them started on the right path.  There are a few necessary requirements to qualify for this program, which include:

1.  Owning and occupying the home you are seeking to receive assistance on, investment properties and second home do not pertain to this program.

2.  The current mortgage loan you hold has to be owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or a similar lender who has signed onto the Government guidelines.

3.  All past mortgage payments should have been paid regularly and should be no more than 30 days late on a loan payment in the last 12 months, which can be reflected in a credit history report.  (Repairing credit options are available through RiverbankFinance in order to make you eligible for your mortgage refinancing).  It is important to follow the guidelines in the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) details provided by the federal government.

4.  Documentation proving that you can support and meet the new guidelines of your mortgage payment must be made available.  Again the experts at Riverbank Finance can assist in this process.
